Background:

Gogiya, which means “Hey Meat!” in Korean, is a Korean BBQ restaurant, requesting a rebrand for a younger audience. I wanted the brand to feel as bold and lively as today’s Gen Z — full of color, energy, and personality. I combined modern style with Korean-inspired details for a design that’s fun, casual, and just a little bit spicy. While I considered Korean BBQ’s signature red color to signify spice and heat, I felt blue to be slightly less traditional, and more youthful and awake. I chose a vibrant blue to match the blue in the Korean flag.
